The arrival of spring always brings with it a great desire to experience the outdoors. Whether we are traveling, picnicking or just taking daily walks, admiring the world in bloom is always a great idea.

However, we don't always know how to choose the right looks to show off on these occasions, especially when the ballerine temperatures of mid-season don't help us. That's why we thought we'd write this little guide to find out how to dress during an out-of-town trip, whether it lasts just a day or an entire weekend.

Out-of-town trips and escapes from the city: how to dress

The urge to travel and discover the world in bloom is stronger than ever during spring. However, although this is everyone's most beloved and anticipated time of year, as mid-season forces us to face some fashion dramas that are anything but pleasant.

All the fault of the unsteady temperatures that, all too often, make us desist from wearing light and fluttery dresses on one side, or off-the-shoulder garments that are too heavy during the sunnier days.

The trick, as always, is to dress in layers. The classic "onion" clothing, if thought out in a calibrated way, allows us not only to cope with the warm weather, but also to solve all the problems related to how to dress during a trip out of town.

If you are planning to spend a weekend out of town with your partner, or to organize a day in the mountains or at the beach with your friends, the choice of layering the look will prove successful.

In fact, despite the fact that the temperatures are more than pleasant and the weather tends to be mild, cold weather still peeps through our days, as well as sudden and unexpected rains. Therefore, the advice is to always carry an outerwear with you.

During spring, coats and down coats can be replaced by trench coats, leather jackets and cardigans. Items of clothing, these, perfect for creating looks for an outing and not to be found unprepared in case of dropping temperatures or bad weather.

How to create the right look for an out-of-town trip

For the rest, however, great room for creativity and personal taste, while not giving up, of course, comfort and practicality. Regardless of the destination reached, in fact, out-of-town trips usually involve walking, picnicking or exploring. It goes without saying that you will need to be equipped in the best possible way to ensure that the experience is not tiring.

Comfortable shoes, which can be sneakers or low trunks, can never be missed, just as you should not give up on comfy looks, those that do not tighten the silhouette but, on the contrary, gently wrap it.

If you want to recreate a romantic look to show off during an outing, the advice is to opt for maxi dresses. They can be long or short, with floral or monochrome prints, and can be paired with sneakers or flat shoes, and a leather jacket.

The alternative, however, is an evergreen, timeless and super glamorous combination: jeans and a white T-shirt. Also in this case leather jacket, light down jacket or trench coat cannot be missed.

Another advice we give to those who are wondering how to dress during an outing is to avoid, at least on this occasion, using black. Spring is a beautiful season, populated by amazing colors that we can borrow.

Pink, purple, green, orange and yellow are some of the most in vogue colors these months. Why not take advantage of them to create a glamorous and super trendy look?If you want to add a touch of elegance, for example, you can replace jeans with palazzo pants in sorbet colors to be paired with a white drop top and a blazer.

If the temperatures then permit, you could even dare with shorts, but don't forget to bring along a maxi cardigan in pastel shades.
