Spring/summer 2018: wearing yellow

Pantone did not declare yellow the colour of the season, yet the world’s catwalks offered no shortage of fascinating proposals in this colour.
Perhaps yellow, in all its shades, brings joy and good humour, and perhaps it also makes it possible to create truly interesting mix-and-match looks, but one thing is certain: your wardrobe must light up with yellow.

Yellow: the season’s trend colour

You either love it or hate it, but I challenge anyone not to smile whenever they come across something yellow. It is the colour of good humour, lively and cheerful, and impossible to resist.
Difficult to wear? Not necessarily. In this case, the important thing is to choose the right pieces and know how to combine them impeccably.

Whether bright, shaded or pastel, your outfits should be tinged with yellow, so why not opt for a total-yellow look? If you do not want to be so daring, do not worry: even just a T-shirt paired with your favourite jeans will work.

How to choose yellow pieces

We have already said it: everyone likes yellow, but the greatest fear is still not knowing how to combine and/or wear it.
The first piece of advice for anyone afraid to dare with a total-yellow or otherwise overly bold look is to focus on accessories: a belt, a hat or a yellow clutch paired with an all-black look or an outfit in neutral colours.
The final result will be surprising: you will look like the perfect queen of spring. What is more, accessories will help you become familiar with this colour.

If yellow does not frighten you and you are ready to be daring, the time has come to fill this e-commerce site’s shopping cart and take your yellow pieces home.

But first, a few small tips.

If you have a fair complexion, ideally choose pieces in bright shades to avoid a washed-out effect. In short, the season for outdoor living is approaching, so let’s leave gloomy colours behind.

Pair your chosen yellow piece with a contrasting colour; if you really like to be daring, try colour blocking: yellow/purple or yellow/blue.

Although yellow may initially seem difficult to wear, you will be surprised to learn that it is an extremely versatile colour, adaptable to every situation, from informal occasions to more elegant ones. Your yellow piece will become a passe-partout to wear both to business dinners and for days of leisure with friends.

May yellow be with you!
